DescriptionWe're a veteran and woman-owned remodeling company based in Cedarburg, serving homeowners throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. We started out as a small, family-run handyman service and grew into a full-service kitchen, bath, and basement remodeling company. Our services have grown over the years, but our values haven't changed. We still bring the same honesty, hard work, and hands-on care to every project.
-
We started as a small, family-run handyman service focused on reliable home repairs and thoughtful improvements. All those years of hands-on repair work gave us a deep understanding of how homes are put together, and as our reputation grew, clients started trusting us with bigger and more complex projects. Today we're a full-service kitchen, bath, and basement remodeling company, but we still run things the same way we always have: honestly, carefully, and with a lot of pride in the work.
-
It means our company is owned by a military veteran and is also a woman-owned business. Those aren't just labels on our website. They're a big part of who we are and how we work, from the way we plan projects to the way we treat the people whose homes we're working in.
-
Military service teaches you to show up on time, follow through on what you say you'll do, and take ownership when something needs fixing. We bring that same accountability to every remodel. You can expect a clear plan, honest communication, and a team that respects your home and your time.
-
Construction has long been a male-dominated industry, and we're proud to be part of changing that. Woman ownership brings a perspective that shapes how we listen, how we communicate, and how we think about the way real families use their kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces. It's also something we hope encourages more women to see a place for themselves in the trades.
-
Yes. Along with being veteran and woman-owned, KMKB is a family-owned small business. That means we treat every project with the same care and attention we'd want in our own home, because to us, that's just how it should be done.
-
Yes. KMKB holds a Wisconsin Dwelling Contractor license, number 1440-DCFR. Hiring a licensed contractor gives you peace of mind that your project is being handled by a team that meets the state's standards for residential construction.
-
It's more than a tagline. It's the guiding principle behind everything we do. "Inspired designs" means creating spaces that reflect your style and the way you actually live. "Expertly built" means the craftsmanship holds up to that vision in every detail. We don't just want to remodel your home. We want to help you reimagine how you live in it.
-
Our home base is in Cedarburg, and we serve homeowners across Southeastern Wisconsin, including Mequon, Germantown, Grafton, Menomonee Falls, Brookfield, Oconomowoc, Waukesha County, and the greater Milwaukee area. If you're nearby and not sure whether you're in our area, just give us a call. We're happy to chat.
Services
-
We specialize in kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, and basement finishing. We also take on exterior and addition projects like garages, concrete work, sunrooms, and home additions. Whether you're updating one room or rethinking several spaces, we can help.
-
We sure do. We also remodel basements to fit your specific living needs. Whether you're picturing a family rec room, a home office, a guest suite, or the ultimate game day hangout, we'll help turn that unused space into a part of your home you actually want to spend time in.
-
Yes. We build both three-season and all-season sunrooms. A three-season room is a great way to enjoy Wisconsin's warmer months, while an all-season room gives you a bright, comfortable space you can use all year long, even in January.
-
Yes. We've expanded living space for homeowners on several of our projects. If your home is starting to feel a little tight, an addition can give you the room you need without the hassle of moving.
-
Open concept layouts are something we've brought to life on many of our projects. When a load-bearing wall is involved, our architectural engineer evaluates the situation and draws up a plan for your municipality's approval. Once the plan is approved, we complete the renovation according to those specifications, and the work is inspected by your city. You get the open, airy space you want, done safely and by the book.
-
We handle every part of your remodel, from the first consultation and design all the way through construction and the finishing touches. You get one team that knows your project inside and out, so you're never stuck coordinating between different companies.
-
Not at all. Most homeowners come to us with a few ideas, a Pinterest board, or just a feeling that something isn't working. That's exactly where we like to start. Our team works alongside you to shape those ideas into a design that fits your style, your budget, and the way you actually live.
-
Our team is a close-knit group of designers and builders who genuinely love what they do. Our designers help turn your ideas into creative, practical plans, and our builders make sure every detail is done right. Everyone works together, so the vision you agree on in the design phase is exactly what gets built.
-
We do. Our team is committed to ongoing learning and stays current on the latest trends, techniques, and materials in the remodeling world. That way we can offer you fresh ideas and proven solutions, whether you want something modern and sleek or warm and traditional.
-
We're proud to partner with Kohler, Holiday Kitchens, Sherwin-Williams, and The Tile Shop. These relationships give our clients access to quality products we know and trust, and they help us keep projects moving smoothly from selection to installation.
-
Yes. Before operating fully independently, we partnered with and subcontracted for other contractors, so photos of our craftsmanship may still show up elsewhere online. In some cases another firm created the design, but the build and finished results were completed by our KMKB team. If you have questions about a specific project you've seen, feel free to reach out.
Getting Started
-
The easiest first step is scheduling a complimentary consultation. You can call us at (262) 291-0300, email contact@kettlemorainekitchenandbath.com, or reach out through our Contact page.
-
Yes. Our consultations are complimentary and come with zero pressure. It's a chance for us to learn about your goals and for you to get a feel for how we work.
-
We'll talk through what you'd like to change, how you use the space today, your style, and a general sense of budget and timing. From there, we'll share ideas, answer your questions, and walk you through what the next steps would look like.
Payments and Financing
-
We don't offer financing directly, but our business banker at BMO is happy to work with you on financing options for your project. We do not accept credit cards.
-
Design fees are due up front so we can get started on your design right away. Before demo or construction begins, we require a 50% deposit. From there, the remaining payments are tied to specific project milestones as the work is completed, so you'll always know what's due and when.
During Your Project
-
In most cases, yes. We plan our work to keep disruption to a minimum, keep our workspaces clean, and let you know ahead of time when certain areas will be off-limits. Our blog has tips on how to prepare your home before work begins.
-
Clear communication is one of the things our clients mention most. You'll know what's happening, what's coming next, and who to contact with questions. No guessing, no chasing anyone down. Your satisfaction is our top priority, so we'll work closely with you from start to finish to make sure your vision is coming to life the way you pictured it.
-
Older homes especially can hold a few surprises behind the walls. If we find something unexpected, we'll stop, explain what we found, walk you through your options, and get your okay before moving forward.
